Ibn-Hashim Bakari, our founder and president, had the privilege of participating as a Fellow in the Black Leadership Institute (BLI) over the past year.
The BLI is a program created by the Institute for Nonprofit Practice (INP) that aims to connect and empower senior-level Black leaders who are making a difference in various sectors and driving social impact nationwide.
Being a part of the BLI has profoundly impacted Ibn-Hashim’s leadership journey. One of the most significant outcomes of this experience has been the power of community.
The communal learning environment provided by the BLI fostered a strong sense of unity, shared purpose, and collective growth. This, in turn, has greatly influenced his leadership style and positively affected Lights & Sirens International.
