February 26th - Lights & Sirens International "Vacation With a Purpose" continued its mission in helping to bridge the gap between first responders and the minority community. We recognize the daily sacrifice the men and women of the Dominican Republic National Police PN make. We visited three neighborhoods where these families live and distributed 150 toys and games to show our appreciation for their dutiful service. We would like to extend a special thanks to Mayor Guzman of the PN for providing a motorcade escort for us to navigate through the capital traffic and welcoming us into his family residences to celebrate the beginning of a new relationship.

March 1st - Lights & Sirens International Vacation With a Purpose visited a local Haitian Church in Sosua Abajo and Casa Los Sueños located in the Dominican Republic's north coast. We delivered a special message and gifts to the children at the church, were greeted with warm arms. The Casa Los Sueños staff had a Christian gospel singer perform for us which filled our souls. Thank you to the pastor for blessing our mission of cross cultural exposure and helping those less fortunate in the community. We continue to travel across the country spreading smiles, hope, and inspiration to the residence of the Dominican Republic

March 2nd - Lights and Sirens International "Vacation With a Purpose" visited Tato Martinez Baseball Academy located in Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, where we distributed 115 toys and games. Tato Martinez has spent the last 51 years teaching baseball to the youth in the community and has produced 5 major league players. He took what was once a wetland, and created a training field to help build discipline, character, and determination in his players. We continue to be grateful for our family, volunteers, donors, and supporters that provide the financial support and gifts-in-kind to help us give back to those less fortunate during this pandemic. Bridging the gap between first responders and the minority community is our goal and we pray that our cultural exposure exchanges make a difference.
